CASE STUDY
The Chateau at Rim Rock
BESPOKE BRANDING & HIGH-END TACTILE PRODUCTION

1. THE CHALLENGE (The Why)
Luxury hospitality requires more than just a logo; it requires an experience. For the fine dining launch of The Chateau at Rim Rock, the goal was to move away from standard promotional items toward heirloom-quality pieces that mirrored the estate’s sophisticated aesthetic.
The primary obstacle was a high-stakes timeline. I was tasked with delivering the project as a rush order in under a week to meet the hard deadline of the restaurant's grand opening. Additionally, the client provided a logo that was too low in resolution for large-scale physical production. I had to solve a technical quality crisis while the clock was ticking, ensuring that the brand’s first impression was one of premium quality, not a last-minute compromise.
2. THE PROCESS (The How)
AI Reconstruction. Rather than a standard manual trace, I utilized a generative AI workflow to reconstruct the brand identity. Using the low-quality image as a reference source, I engineered and refined prompts until the AI reproduced the logo with perfect mathematical clarity. This allowed me to "hallucinate" the missing detail back into the design while maintaining total brand consistency.
Refinement. Once the high-fidelity image was generated, I converted the asset into a scaled SVG. This allowed for infinite scalability without loss of detail. I then manually adjusted the parameters to ensure the proportions were perfectly balanced for the 18"x12" dimensions of the wood boards.
Precision Engineering. Using a 20w diode laser, I ran multiple depth tests on the wood grain. The challenge was finding the exact power and speed settings to achieve a deep, high-contrast mark that remained legible against the natural dark grain of the wood without causing excessive charring or "bleeding" of the fine lines.
SOURCE RECOVERY: AI-driven prompt engineering (Source-to-High-Res)
VECTORIZATION: Adobe Illustrator / SVG Optimization
MATERIAL: Premium Acacia
PRODUCTION HARDWARE: 20w Diode Laser
PROJECT SCOPE: 14 Bespoke 18"x12" Boards

3. THE EXECUTION (The Result)
The project culminated in the successful delivery of twelve custom charcuterie boards, arriving just as the final preparations for the grand opening were underway. Because of the compressed timeline, I personally managed the logistics: hand-delivering the finished pieces to Spearfish, South Dakota—a five-hour round-trip journey—to place them in the client's hands just four hours before their doors opened.
By taking a systems-thinking approach to the logo restoration, I bypassed the typical delays of manual recreation and delivered a level of detail that would have been impossible with the original file. This project demonstrates a successful end-to-end management process: taking a technical failure point and a one-week deadline, then using modern AI tools to transform them into a retail-quality physical product delivered on time.
